Just a reminder that you should never go to an inspection office during a bank holiday, and that windturbines are “yuge”

Also, at 40,000km, this might be the lowest mileage R170 in the world.... I also still think these are a ging great.

Will it be more valuable in the future?
Is it faster, more comfortable?
Does it have a simple roof rather than a metal nightmare

The answer is yes to all of those. My attachment to the R170 is because of my family, it’s been with us for 22 years!
I also like it because it looks very cool, I think that when it came out the styling was very strange, specially compared to other era mercs... bold!

Yeah but that’s like if I post a c class and you post up an S Class haha. Two totally different price points and sizes.

The R107 or earlier is where it’s at anyways. Simpler mechanical top, way less stupid 90s electronics to go wrong and more classic styling. And honestly I’ve driven 560SLs and they feel faster than the 90s SL500s do

Ah yes, I drove 40 mins to a closed inspection office I did warn ya. I just really like the r170

Thankfully I didn’t actually get it inspected cus my brake pad warning started lighting up a few days afterwards

Not gonna lie, the R107 is beautiful. R129s are much more attainable in my area though.
